Privacy
Short version: what you put in a code never leaves your device, and we do not track you.
Your codes
Codes are made by your own browser. Links, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and logos are never sent to our servers or anyone else. Scanning a code never touches our servers either.
What we count
- Which pages are visited, the website that sent you (only its name), and your device type.
- Your approximate location (country, region, city) as reported by our hosting provider. We do not store IP addresses.
- Unique visitors per day, using a code our server derives from your IP address and browser that changes every day. Nothing is stored on your device, and there are no cookies.
- That a code was downloaded, with its type and format only (for example "Wi-Fi, PNG"). Never its content.
Who runs this
fairtools is run by Mikkel Aagaard in Germany. The site is hosted by Vercel; the visit counts are kept in a Supabase database. Questions: hello@fairtools.org.
